Focal Point Premium unlocks the features that make sharing, planning, and growing into the app possible. This page covers what's included, how to subscribe, and how to cancel. For the full feature comparison, see the pricing page.
Premium includes the AI features above (the Ask Focal Point assistant, document summaries, trip suggestions, stop research highlights, note synopses, receipt OCR, semantic search). All of those run on a managed AI quota that's included in your Premium subscription — you won't see a separate AI bill or be asked for an API key.
If you want to see where your AI usage is going, open Settings → AI Cost. You'll find:
Two things worth knowing:
Premium is $4.99/month or $49.99/year (saves about 17%). Billing runs through Apple or Google, depending on which store you used to download Focal Point. You can cancel anytime — Premium features stay active through the end of your current billing period.
Subscriptions live with Apple or Google — not on our website — so all changes (upgrade, downgrade, cancel, resubscribe) happen inside the app or in your Apple ID / Google account settings.
On iPhone or iPad: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → Focal Point → Cancel Subscription.
On Mac: App Store → click your name in the sidebar → Account Settings → Subscriptions → Focal Point → Edit → Cancel Subscription.
On Android: Google Play → profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Focal Point → Cancel.
Premium features stay active until the end of your current billing period. After that you'll downshift to the free tier automatically.
Your data stays put — nothing is deleted. After the billing period ends:
Storage usage is shown in Settings → Storage. The breakdown lists usage by category (documents, images, attachments) so you can free up space deliberately.
Open Focal Point and tap Upgrade to Premium. Apple and Google manage all billing, so the resubscribe flow runs through them rather than through our website. If you had Premium before, your previous data is exactly where you left it — nothing was deleted while you were on free.
Refunds are handled by Apple and Google directly, not by us. Use reportaproblem.apple.com for App Store purchases or play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions for Google Play.
