Focal Point Premium unlocks the features that make sharing, planning, and growing into the app possible. This page covers what's included, how to subscribe, and how to cancel. For the full feature comparison, see the pricing page.

What Premium unlocks

  • Unlimited projects (free is capped at 3 personal projects)
  • Project sharing — collaborate with friends, family, or coworkers
  • Trips — multi-stop itineraries with maps, weather, reservations, and shared expenses
  • 10 GB document storage with up to 100 MB per file (free: 100 MB total, 10 MB per file)
  • Local sync for Mac (Windows coming soon) — edit documents in their native apps
  • AI features — document summaries, suggested tasks, and receipt scanning for trip expenses
  • Priority support

Pricing

Premium is $3.99/month or $39.99/year (saves about 17%). Billing runs through Apple or Google, depending on which store you used to download Focal Point. New subscriptions include a 7-day free trial — no charge until the trial ends, and you can cancel anytime during the trial without paying.

How to subscribe

  1. Open Focal Point on iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
  2. Tap Settings → Upgrade to Premium (or tap the upgrade banner anywhere it appears in the app).
  3. Pick monthly or annual, confirm with Face ID / Touch ID / password, and you're set.

Subscriptions live with Apple or Google — not on our website — so all changes (upgrade, downgrade, cancel, resubscribe) happen inside the app or in your Apple ID / Google account settings.

How to cancel

On iPhone or iPad: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → Focal Point → Cancel Subscription.

On Mac: App Store → click your name in the sidebar → Account Settings → Subscriptions → Focal Point → Edit → Cancel Subscription.

On Android: Google Play → profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Focal Point → Cancel.

Premium features stay active until the end of your current billing period. After that you'll downshift to the free tier automatically.

What happens to my data when I cancel?

Your data stays put — nothing is deleted. After the billing period ends:

  • Existing projects beyond the free 3-project limit become read-only until you either delete some or resubscribe.
  • Existing Trips become read-only.
  • Documents stored above the 100 MB free quota enter a 30-day grace period. During the grace period everything is still accessible. If you don't free up space or resubscribe by the end of grace, oldest files are removed first until you're back under quota. See Document Storage for the full grace-period rules.
  • Project sharing is suspended for projects you own. Collaborators on those projects keep access only if the project owner is on Premium.

Storage limits

  • Free: 100 MB total, 10 MB per file
  • Premium: 10 GB total, 100 MB per file

Storage usage is shown in Settings → Storage. The breakdown lists usage by category (documents, images, attachments) so you can free up space deliberately.

Resubscribing

Open Focal Point and tap Upgrade to Premium. Apple and Google manage all billing, so the resubscribe flow runs through them rather than through our website. If you had Premium before, your previous data is exactly where you left it — nothing was deleted while you were on free.

Refunds

Refunds are handled by Apple and Google directly, not by us. Use reportaproblem.apple.com for App Store purchases or play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions for Google Play.
